Hi, I'm Dumi Senda
In just four years I went from a life of menial labor with no prospects to University of Oxford Master’s Graduate, Global Inclusion Expert and internationally sought-after Career Coach.
Now I work with global brands on improving their productivity through widening diversity and inclusion strategies and providing staff development training. I also coach people around the world to maximise their career potential and to live purposeful and impactful lives.
More About My Achievements & Impact
Dumi is currently Head of Campus Outreach & Alumni Engagement for Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (‘SEO’) London, leading graduate recruitment of students from ethnic minority and low socioeconomic backgrounds into elite industries such as finance and banking, law, engineering, the civil service and consultancy. He also drives strategies to engage SEO London alumni in leading city firms and organisations such as Goldman Sachs, Barclays, Citi, Bank of America Meryl Lynch, McKinsey, Linklaters, Rolls Royce, Google and several others.
Dumi has spoken on high-level platforms like the UN, UK Houses of Parliament and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and he has shared the stage with World Leaders including Heads of states, Members of the European Parliament and business leaders. In 2017 Dumi delivered the opening address ahead of a keynote by the renowned African Billionaire Mo Ibrahim at the University of Oxford Said Business School.
Dumi has recently participated as one of thirty world career development experts, sharing the stage with FTSE 100 Company Executives, on the 2018 Career Mastery™ Kickstart Summit convened by May Busch, former COO of Morgan Stanley Europe. He has also sat on a special expert panel reviewing the Career Accelerator by the Black British Business Achievers Awards (BBBAs) for managers of Black and Asian Minority Ethnic (BAME) origin across 18 leading city firms and businesses in London.
Additionally, Dumi has led a team of business leaders on a career development programme for unemployed young people organised by the UK Department of Works and Pensions (DWP) and the Prince Charles-funded charity Business in the Community. The programme was delivered at the Google London HQ and Peckham Job Centre.
Dumi is also an award winning author and poet. His publications include a children’s book entitled The Day the Sun Promised to Smile FOREVER! and a poetry anthology entitled When the Soul Awakens. He has been interviewed on mainstream TV and radio stations such as BBC, BEN, Radio Chicago and several others.
